Where one always starts: when it seems overwhelming, break it down into manageable problems and solve them one at a time.

    Do tutorials that acheive something.

Adding strings together as a tutorial is the most boring thing ever. I did that when i was 13. And i stopped thinking how fucking useless it was.

I came back to it at 27. Im now 31 and i love it.

It really depends on you as a person and how motivated you are. Honestly, there’s a shit ton I still don’t know about programming and I LOVE PHP and JavaScript/ES6 the most. But what I’ve come to learn is that I’m a perfectionist and I hate pushing poor code and added to the fact that I just want it all to work in one go. The key I learned is to start with something small, test it, get it out, and iterate, iterate, iterate!

Start with small projects such as a task list or pet matching app and see where it goes. Down the line you’ll eventually see how shit your original code was and ask yourself why the hell would you write that haha.
