@odite yeah I don't even know anymore. People learn frameworks/libraries before they know the language. Doesn't make any sense to me either.

You don‘t need any HTML for React. React uses JSX, this just looks like HTML, but has nothing to do with it. Therefore (and some other thinks) I really don’t like React.

And this, kids, is why you don't learn the tool but the principles. If you understand how you can solve problems and use patterns, data structures and the like, the language is just a tool you can learn in a couple of weeks.
