My experience last year was not good. I don't how they managed to fuck it up so badly, but they did.
I was initially excited about them because their seemed way more modern than the alternatives.
I created an account, and decided I would need 5 USD for the products I would use.
Guess what? I COULDN'T USE THE 5 fucking dollars I ALREADY PAID, a msg on the page read "maximum monthly fee reached" or something.
And the course of action they recommended was me creating a ticket asking them to increase it. What in the actual fuck?
Go figure, a company that red tapes the process of charging money.
So I sent them a ticket, to which I got no response (this was a weekend).
So I got anxious and created another ticket asking pretty please to increase it in the weekends.
I got a response saying that accounts is only available on weekdays, that I shouldn't create duplicate tickets, that it won't resolve my problem faster.
Basically treating a customer like a nuissance.

It was funny that this wasn't a customer agent, it was a sysadmin.
Then I sent them a ticket basically saying that I wanted a refund of my 5 dollars.
Which they did, but they also cancelled my account and asked me for my feedback. So I replied:
"I never said I wanted to close my account.
I said I wanted my cash back.
One lady asked me to give some feedback on how to improve the service. How would I do that if my account's closed? I see you guys keep it real.
I wish everyone there a very good day, but I think the head of customer support needs to get good at it. If you want my feedback, you can check the tickets I've been in."
The icing on the cake was that I reopened my account and the credit card was still there and there was no delete option. Which is very fucked up.
So i had to create yet ANOTHER ticket asking them to delete it, and then deleted the fuck up of that account.
Good fucking grief.

I first used them because digitalocean didn't have servers in a particular location and they turned out to be pretty good. Billed hourly and you can spin up an instance quickly and destroy it when you're done without signing up for a lifetime. Support is pretty good too.
