I don't really saw too much of C#, but for what I know, they are VERY related.
I started to read a C# book and in the second chapter, it explained .NET. I ignored it, but after a while it became too obvious that it was necesary and related.
I didin't finished to read the book, but yeah, they are very related and you should learn both.

Well, I suppose it's technically possible to have a C# compiler that compiles to bare metal or something, where the .NET runtime doesn't exist. But really?

HR is notoriously stupid. I strongly beleive hiring should be done by leads/managers of the position being hired for, not a separate department.

There is a .Net native (Which compiles to "real" executable code)

    Never tested it tho

@NoToJavaScript yeah but you're still using the .NET Framework or .NET Core or Mono runtimes. It's still .NET.
