you have an intern working in your company, who came in for 3-4 months internship in September, with a notice in advance that he will take 1 month or more of leaves for exams in Nov-dec.

He reminds you in the beginning of October that he would be going on off due to a lot of college stuff happening on alternate days , starting November.

You and he come up to an agreement that its best to free him from his role in october end and he may join gain when he is done with his college work and could come back fulltime

He works full time in September-October with dedication, leaves with complete reports and submitting his code in November.

NOW DO YOU HAVE A FUCKING RIGHT TO HALT MY SALARY FROM OCTOBER?

YOUR FUCKING HRs HAVE BEEN IGNORING HALF OF MY CALLS AND GIVING LAME EXCUSES IN OTHER HALF.

I WAS NOT A FULL TIME EMPLOYEE YOU ASSHOLES, AND YET I FOLLOWED ALL YOUR STUPID RULES REGARDING NOTICE PERIOD AND STUFF! GIMME MY MONEY :/

@-red yep its Indian, and no i didn't do the backup thing Because 1.) I never thought this could be a possibility . I was very much fine in the company and was even hoping for a full time job. And 2.) That's just stupid, whoever comes after me will be able to crack codes of an intern's code, unless they find someone very dumb. I am not a member of anonymous lol

Status update: i got the salary of October. In december -_-

I guess my whole salary request must have been treated as that of a general employee. These stupid startups are always trying to replicate big est companies by using their strategies of policy before people . But they don't seem to implement the things they don't know : if an employee leaves their last month salary should be held for 30-60 days, but if an intern leaves, then you have no right to keep his salary for more than 15 days!!

However my entry to this company was not via an interview and via internal sources therefore i maintained my calm. I did wrote some angry mails to both hr and ceo but never criticised or shamed their company publically (devrant doesn't count xD). In the end i recieved my salary without any deductions( although i think the hr must be angry with me since i called her talks as lame excuses in the mail)

Lesson learnt: can't say. I could have worked till 7th nov(the salary day for oct) and suddenly declared that i am not coming in nov-dec but that would have made chaos and the company angry . They do maintain black lists i think , which can be used against employees who acted like that. But if you don't intend to care about this company, you can just take the money and leave.

But on the other hand being a peaceful calm guy didn't also helped me much. I did received my salary but after 40 days of leaving. But i believe my relations with the company remained intact due to this(would have to check)

In short, job life is fucked up and interesting game of chess. Welcome to this shit!
