After a couple of years in different companies I want to ask... is there a company that actually does quality coding or am I just a shitty developer, working for shitty companies?

Some types of company make shit because the developer culture.

No code review process. Peers that are not better or pushing you to be better at development. No opportunities to experiment or innovate. Someone that likes to make big bang requirement/ui changes. Peers that won’t help because it complicates a timesheet.

I've worked in one good quality company and one bad quality company. The bad code quality company made more money and paid better.
