I needed to install an extra Ethernet card on my machine at work. The process of getting it from the IT department was fairly easy, but the damn things didn't have the small screws you need, in order for the card to not hang on the PCI-E port...

Turns out finding that kind of screws is way more annoying than the card itself. :/ I don't get why they were not included, if they are essential for the operation of the card...

Just let it hang in there. :D the slot is strong enough to support some gpus. It will definitely support a ethernet card.

No put a screw in. but I would have yolod it if I didn't find the right one in 10 mins

I fashioned a thing to hold the card more or less in place from a paper clip, until I managed to get a hold of the proper thing.

I dont think screws have ever been supplied with cards. The screws used to be in the cases themselves. Then they started making you punch out the slot or some used some sort of locking system. If you ran out you could salvage from some other computer. I have my own stock of them from previous builds. You can buy them in bulk as well.
