    @NoToJavaScript VHD.
    @magicMirror You don't still do DOS things? Not even in a VM?

    also i ran out of space on the VHD i had prior and needed to copy the shit on it to a bigger one, but dd kept shitting the bed, leading to both that and the FAT16 partition suddenly becoming HPFS, which MS-DOS 6.22 apparently recognizes?

    @Parzi This.... only raises more questions!
    Why DOS? Why a vm? why do I even care? What is stuck to my shoe?

    @magicMirror good question, why ARE you reading this when so allergic to DOS?

    I'm both making a prod for a demoparty in April and trying to get a Discord client written for everything from MS-DOS to Win10 using DJGPP and PythonD. I'm using a VM as I don't have any period-appropriate hardware kicking about, nor a network card that'd be compatible with packet drivers from said era.

    (There's a Slack client for Win3.1, why not Discord for everything? Might need a bot key, but fuck it, why not?)
