zzzachzzz683dFrameworks in general, or in a specific domain?
hjk101233782dIn what way are they over engineered? To much features, to much abstraction layers to much error handling/robust or does it feel limiting/wrong (opinionated)?
A framework needs to suit multiple needs and must be fairly fault tolerant. Perhaps you need a more opinionated framework or just an independent class library. Not using a framework at all is usually silly unless there is a very unique problem or the secondary requirements like performance way so much it requires tailoring in every level. We tend to forget we get nothing done (properly) if we do not use work of others we would still be incorporating every hardware detail in our every program.
