i had to throw together a tool to periodically test a friend's network (plus on-demand if needed) as it keeps slowing to a crawl for no reason, i called it "netpoke" and it's retarded and i despise tkinter with all my heart but i needed non-blocking and timers and shit...

i'll prolly never release it as it's mostly heavily-modded copypaste SO garbage but y'know
