Was my opinion as wel after a few hours. Just didn't like it.

Does it have to be react? Tried vue? I love it. Found nothing that I don't like about it yet. I use vuetify for the material support. Great stuff for terrible designers like me.

I used to feel that way. Lemme know if there’s anything specific you’re struggling with and I can try to help.

@AmyShackles I totally forgive you reasonable cat lady. I'm a unreasonable fox gentleman

@ars1 only people in a real chair are allowed to say that afaik

No, don't give up, you still can find better practices on React... unless the search engine goes bonkers on you and recommends jackshit on Medium. Not saying that all articles are as such though, there may be gems hiding under blanket. Still, gotta apply some discretion 🤔👍

    React has ruined node jobs...

@Mb3leb if you’re looking for a job with nodejs as a backend developer. They’re 96% react. You search nodejs backend dev anddddddd boom, react, react, react and the one that doesn’t say react, is react

@bashleigh that's sad. When you search web dev jobs, all react/angular.

The ES6 knowledge of the DOM you once had, gone. Most react devs don't even know native js or Dom manipulation. Infact very few know how to even generate a table from an array or listen for click events the native way.

@truelion07 yeah, but we'll probably think that about every generation that they lack some basic knowledge. But then again, a lot of them are doing their job just fine. What is worse, the terrible attitude to sql these days. Replacing it with an orm without knowing the easy stuff it does (or does wrong)

@truelion07 yeaaaa but then I’d blame companies trying to cut corners and prices for that. You only need to know the basics of the framework a company is using to start providing results
