Honestly, this is exactly the kind of shit that pushes people to Mac and Windows on the desktop.

Never, never, never had to helps someone to put additional drivers on their Windows install medium, that are only extractable with Windows... /s

What is the output of ip addr and ip link?

I remember issues with 2.5GB ethernet chips on B550 mobos last year because the drivers were not yet in Ubuntu.

@metamourge It‘s a config issue with the default netplan settings that can be fixed in a few minutes. It just bothers me, that it did not work ootb, because the one thing that should work on a headless ubuntu server is the ethernet port.
