I never ask about bugs on SO because I learn from figuring them out, and because I have yet to get a bug that's short enough to be popped on a forum and tough enough not to solve before someone answers it. When I'm not sure how to approach an issue I ask about it and then follow my gut feeling while a fruitful discussion develops under my question. I think the "opinionated" label should only block selecting a correct answer. The very point of a Q&A is that you can see multiple answers and learn different viewpoints.

k33da99813y@homo-lorens yes, usually I also first try to google it out in 95% of time I always find solution by mixing keywords or by finding similar problems. I prefer to answer questions on stack rather than asking as most of the time I end up solving problem or get near to it.
