All you have to do to be a successful internet business / is to make something that isn’t insanely fucking terrible in every way... or make something insanely terrible... but have so much money and coverage and control that there is really no way to fail.

And of course / option 2 requires a bunch of mindless developers with no regard for what their creations do to the world.

@ViRaS Yeah.. pretty much just every website I used this week was broken. Not just a little... but enough that it’s a daily occurrence to find my girlfriend just shattered and devastated that they keep retracting her healthcare, or that we have to pay parking tickets that someone else got after stealing our license plate, - and just everything you can think of. The login systems all seem to be under maintenance - only on the days where we have to pay our bills. Our banks are broken.. our city is broken... our park is full of tents... there’s no where to park because there are too many motor homes... all of the things that are supposed to be designed well - are shitty. And the web is the de facto communication platform - so, when it’s this fucked up - then everything gets worse and worse - and I don’t see anyone working to fix it. And then the developers say “hey man... we’re just trying to feed our family” - OK!
