The fact that there are still new websites made with wordpress proves that as a species we are a case of hopeless masochists.

Well, you don't need to know anything about websites to click some wordpress shit together.
So it has its uses.
Or do you want to actually invest any work in building all that crap web business card sites for people who don't wanna pay real prices so they give some bucks to the son of an employee to get it done for cheap?
I would not want to deal with that people...

People/businesses want websites for cheap, or even free. It seems Wordpress is the trump card here.

Wordpress is great, especially the latest version. Allows regular people to have a perfectly working and flexible website and it allowed me a great and a very high paying career.
