    I mean... I've seen worse.

If I'm billing at > $60 per hour I'd be willing to take that kind of break down.

I'm at 950 : 1400 with one of my current contracts.

There's just shit that has to happen in order to GET the work that nobody wants to pay for... and then there's shit I'm going to have to spend way longer to do because either I fuck something up or I need to read and learn 1 - 4 entire APIs docs.

Note: This is as a freelancer. I was a little more resistant to this kind of ratio when I was salary... but even then some of this happened at every job I ever had.

Everything they are paying above 8h, they are just paying for half productive developer.

If I was a freelancer and I did shitty planning myself, well, my bad. But as a salaried employee I'm going to demand a proper compensation for saving this project (and thus a lot of company €).. I'm thinking double pay for overwork would be appropriate (1x paid out + 1x time off), plus a raise. I'm a medior working on senior projects with a Junior salary.

@myss Yes, but it depends. Some days the first few hours are already shit. Some days I was productive for 24h, though I couldn't articulate myself very clearly anymore after that.
