I am learning CS for like four years and creating some cool stuff, in the meanwhile, one of my friends learns to play the piano for two years or so,
whenever he sees a piano he starts playing and everyone is amazed (me too actually), but if I show some project I'm working on for a month the reaction is usually: "Oh, nice bro" and that is it.

I'm not jealous (I really am not) but I personally think that this is really sad... :(

It happens to everyone man, they really don't understand. If you show them the functionality of it, or explain how it functions and the work behind it, they'll start to love it!! They're moreso interested at the piano because it is something they're used to, they've heard all their lives and something they can easily pick up and understand. Meanwhile, not many people know programming, so when they see a huge hunk of text on a screen they might get confused. Usually all it takes is some explanation, a quick demonstration of what it does, and I assure you they will love it! And if that's not the case they'll still believe you have a lot of potential. Hope that helps!!

People take things for granted, and don't understand all the work behind programs, its just the way it is I guess
