Should I join Investment Bank as a developer.
Pros and cons??

Cons - you'll be the egg head that they expect to solve random technical issues that aren't directly about the money... Banking people tend to be extra shitty about stuff like that in my experience.

They'll be shafting you if you're not on silly money. There's often interesting challenges and the more well known banks look great on a CV.

That being said, the culture is sometimes a "stay at work until you're done" mentality, and if you're not careful you'll possibly find yourself working 12+ hour days just for a pat on the back and the promise of a nonexistent promotion.
