Microsoft: We hear you. Here's some new icons. Next year you'll get rounded corners on windows.

UX / customisation is admittedly a rather personal thing, but I haven't seen an app crash because of *windows* fault for many years now. Same with a BSOD. Last time I had those regularly it was a dying mobo.

Granted in the 98 / ME days all this was true, but Windows has been more than stable enough for a long time now.

@AlmondSauce never had any sort of real issue with win 98 (SE). wasnt a power user back then tho.

however the me in win me stands for meme. to such an extent they released win xp shortly after me.

xp was all right sp1 onwards (heard initial xp had a whole lot of teething problems, but i was still on 98 at that point)

win 7- massive failure. to such an extent i dont think many people even know it existed.

then vista, and finally win 8 but i was still on xp.

i loved 8.1. stable af. never had any issues.
but then i bought a new gpu and had to switch to win 10.

and holy fuck, win 10 took some years off my life expectancy.

win 10 is *the reason i switched to linux as my primary os.

-win 10 took bloat to another level
-sneaky downloads that fuck with your drivers
-usb hardware fault makes for an infinite loop on power down
-usb hardware fault makes for an infinite loop on boot downloads
    -boot downloads

    and last but not least:
-had to reconfigure my mobo to get it to work properly.

@AlmondSauce i mean, talk to the average user.
i bet the only ones that remember win 7 are the ones who had to install vista when it came out as a replacement

edit: fuck its the other way around

The only thing I hate about windows lately is it fucking restarts to update whenever it feels like it, and my fucking miners stop because of that.

    This is bullshit.

The most annoying thing is after each windows update, my pinned tabs in Microsoft Edge vanish. They literally can't get their own softwares right, how much hell will it be for 3rd-Parties.
