I’m fairly young, and so I basically never knew the internet before it was commercialized and abused. Is there a word for nostalgia for something you’ve never experienced?

The old internet was the best internet... A wild west where creativity flew like water and options were endless... Weirdly enough now it just feels "gray"... Every corner is the same and It's all muddy and dull....

@10Dev whole usenet was great, it was nothing compared to today’s flat forum, social network conversations.
Anyone could make a thread from every message and it could continue and subthread to the infinity.
There were sci.philosophy threads where you could meet some phd or professors.
