Management: "Let's hire some folks and expand the team in this region. And then we will think about what they will exactly do. And then get more work or create more work with our own vision"

Hired developers *mind*: "Why the fuck is this small work done by such a big team? Why the fuck is this work done by a my team (different team) and not by the same team that built the product? Oh, they don't have bandwidth? They want to parallelize? And all decisions still have to go through the product team? They have months of experience and context? Right"

    A better elaborate version -

Hired developers *mind*: "Why the fuck is this small work done by my team? My team is such a big team! Why so many people for this work???!

Why the fuck is this work done by a my team (a different team) and not by the same team that built the product? Oh, they don't have bandwidth? They want to parallelize? And all decisions still have to go through the product team? They have months of experience and context? We have to gain all of that from docs or slack messages or extract it from them if it's not available in docs or slack? Depend completely on them? Right"

Man, I sorta wanna ask if you work for my company? We have a team in India, under contract, and there is NO way this isn’t exactly what they’re thinking. “Expansion team” to US team. 4 hour overlap, most comms via slack and crappy requests go to them.

    Anyway, sorry you’re suffering.
