@rutee07 So I am a junior developer. Don't hold much stakes. I got a smaller component to work on for a larger urgent project. Although the deadlines are relaxed for this component but still this could jave been done a week ago.
Also, people who are working in other companies have been earning double and I am working here, so thinking of switching my job too. Skill wise I am not gaining a lot here because anyway I am a junior developer here. But the my slowness that's in the mind of the stakeholders, will not change right? even if I work for some other company. -
Hazarth94843yYeah, don't worry about what others think. If you can't work you can't work
There are more important things in life than a job. As long as you are content it doesn't matter.
If you however want to progress you will have to step it up a bit, at least for long enough that someone notices -
@Hazarth Yes, not able to progress because of this. I have been dealing with anxiety and past 2 months got it under control so things started looking better but again these things are happening. Switching company remained my only option to progress but these challenges will always be there, so trying to prepare myself for role switch.
It's hard in these situations to not to think about people. But I'm trying my best to divert. -
I'm paid less than I'm worth in my job too, which can be frustrating when I know people are being paid more to do less. And being productive only happens when you're content.
In my situation I get the freedom to choose how I develop a project in terms of technology. In some projects I get 100% control, which I love because I know the company hasn't experienced what some technologies can do just yet, so I use my position to show them just what is possible, which opens new doors for them. New doors means new work down new roads, and more money...which I can then use to discuss a pay rise.
But if you don't have any control over things like this then maybe it's time to find a fresh company who is still new and willing to do something that makes you feel more productive. Sometimes, it's not the type of work you do that deflates you, it's how happy you feel within the environment you do it in.

So I have given this small project, which should be a work of maximum a week.
But unfortunate things are happening. I couldn't work for week due to some personal things so took a week off. And now can't be productive because another thing happened.
I have been a very slow developer and it's been 4 years in industry. People with less skills are earning more.
I don't know what my colleagues or stakeholders must be thinking about me.
