Company: “we need you to engineer this for one of our clients because you’re an engineer and this is what we pay you for.”

Me: “sure no problem”

Company: “we also need you to do a cost benefit analysis, risk/reward analysis, gap analysis and swot analysis for market fit and business finance because we didn’t task anyone else with doing it and since we’re already paying you for this other thing you may as well do this too”

Me: (opens up resume.docx) “yeah I’ll uh…I’ll get right on that”

Holy shit! Can‘t you point them at your employment contact?

@Lensflare he can point them to his engineering behind while he leaves. Companies know most of those analysis are pure BS, so they could just ask anyone to do it.
What eludes me is why did they pick an engineer with better things to do instead of, let's say, a janitor or a manager.
