I agree but I my firefox never tries to rub its color/theme features into my face.

@Lensflare I'm on 106.0, this is the third update that showed me a popup about them even though I promptly rejected all the previous ones, and this is the first update to place an unremovable, large advert about them on a hot screen (the new Firefox View, which would otherwise be a great idea if it didn't have a fucking sidebar ad)
-
@Lensflare The popups are problematic because I also run IT support for my elderly relatives who are confused by them, but I understand that this is not the most common use case of the browser and Mozilla, like every other company of substantial size, are only inclusive towards minority user groups when it gives them clout. The sidebar ad however is infuriating.

@lorentz I feel you. I’m also IT support for elders which are confused by any kind of popup or unexpected “box” on the screen. It’s especially painful when Windows applies an update and then shows this annoying configuration wizard.
Ironically, Linux is far less annoying with these kind of things. Speaking about "too complicated for the average user"…

Oh my god, when will Firefox shut up about its motherfucking colours!? Themes have been a feature since forever, none of this is new. Also, I DO NOT want my fucking userchrome to be colourful, and I DO NOT want to be constantly bugged about this. It's a fucking browser. I want iit have a reasonably high contrast and otherwise blend into the edge of the screen, because for a web browser, the UI is not important and should not stick out.
I respect if someone has different opinions about UI, but it pisses me off to no end that Mozilla doesn't respect mine.
