Alright devs, in the US, can I not get a SIM card on which I simply put some money, and can use that until it runs out? Seems there is a 30-day limit tied to everything!!! I don't need data for 30 days!!!

This is totally possible in Europe, what is going on with regulation in US? Seems like it should be illegal.

@darkwind Yeah, I already get 1 GB US from my Euro SIM, but that's usually not enough. Maybe I have to talk to them if they have one-off booster packets I can use.

What the hell are you guys talking about, where have you been? In any European country I've ever been to, you can walk into any Vodafone or Telekom store (or much any other) and ask for a pay-as-you-go plan. In order to get a Sim card for longer periods you usually need to provide your details and register an account, but balances expire after a year or more, often never.
