- I say the project is shit and it'll be hell for everyone involved
- Management says we'll do it anyway
- Project keeps being hell for everyone involved
- Management reprimands the team for letting hell consume us
- I (again) point out the project is hell itself
- Management maintains it's our fault
- I am Tired™️

    SNAFU:

Devs tell it's shit, managers understand it as fertilizer with great potential for growth. :)

I am in the exact same situation right now but the project itself is fine, the real issue is the application architecture, it was designed by a drunk monkey.

@xxzer0 we could've made it in a way that it made sense, but due to Decisions®️ we had to do it the stupidest way possible. basically using a preexisting tool in a way it was not meant to be used

The world is run by clowns that perpetuate the saying of "fact is often stranger than fiction"

@darksideofyay we had a custom solution working perfectly for our needs, we designed it and was so fucking optimised, insanely fast. We throw it away because the customer wanted to use an existing solution that performs shit compared to what we had and now we basically worsened the entire application system. We are using this solution in a way it's not meant to be..

I guess we have a similar situation going on.

You need to demonstrate that doing the project in the Stupid way will end up losing them Money. Even if all your devs worked 24 hours/day. That's the only thing they will listen.
