I kept asking my manager for a salary rise for about the last 2 months and he didn't do anything about it so I searched for a new job and I found it! I noticed my manager that I am going to leave, he promised that starting from next month he will increase my salary... Aaaand he didn't...
So I decided to increase my own salary by reducing the working hours lol.

    you honestly should leave asap.

You should just have left when you had the opportunity. I've also once been offered higher salary if I'd stay, but left for studies and was head-hunted to a work where I doubled my old salary...as a trainee! And when I was hired, my salary was three times what I'd get at my old work - including the promised raise. So...career changes usually pay off - at least if it's your own move :)

If they wait until you leave to offer you a rise you should leave ASAP. They arent paying you more because you are better, they are paying you more because they don't want you to leave.
