Ever since streaming became the primary mode of accessing movies and music, hard disk space more than 500GB became unnecessary for most people.

Then there's me torrenting everything like the filthy pirate I am to fill the void of 4 external drives that combine into a 16TB behemoth of uncategorized movies, television shows, and pr0nz

    True.

But for downloaded movies, i usually delete after i watch them. Except the epic ones, of course. So drive doesn't get full.@demiko

true, as long as you don't try to compile Android from source😂

The true problems in my opinion are that:

    1. Many countries have extremely limited mobile data capacities or extremely slow internet speeds.
    2. You can't stream everything. I have a dualboot setup, so I need at least 1Tb...

@samir yup I have but why go through a middleman when you can go straight to the source 😅

Well there are some videogames that are pretty massive like Elite Dangerous or The Witcher. Then there's my awful compulsion to install a ton of software I'll use some day. Throw in some dual boot. Aaaand you got my tb drive and 500 gb drive full.

Plus, music isn't everything. I also have photos and (obviously legal and clean) torrented movies and series.
