Holy hell, this! The guy I'm working with right now is alright, but our weekly "meetings" are just me sitting there as he tries to figure out how to work his own software or telling me about "features" that need to be in this app that are already handled by the web service that a former dev wrote. We also have to have a weekly face-to-face meeting, because "we both get more out of it". Fuck no we don't. I could sit in my dorm and send you an email and get as much out of it, but instead I have to waste my time on needless phone calls and "collaboration".
