React has been a gateway into the practical functional world.

Having a crack at Clojure/Om/Datomic, and then recognising the roots of functional and immutable programming that I've seen before.

I have a lot to learn.

Looking forward to grasping macros fully. Walk before I run though

    Clojure is right there at the top of my list for favorite languages. I have much to go to consider myself proficient, but the experience thus far has been great. Lisp just clicked with me when I got into common lisp a few years ago, and Clojure peovides a solid foundation to build into in order to find actual job prospects etc :) i salute you my good sir and wish you have as much fun with it as I do.

    @AleCx04 cheers, I'm still a beginner.

    It's along shot and might be a bad idea, but my colleague and I want to convince our boss to use om.next for an in house product. It's a big leap, especially as my colleague has no functional experience, but I reckon he'll learn quick. Honestly reckon it will speed up production time. Watched a talk by David Nolan and he really knows what he's talking about.

    If we can knock out a functioning demo in relatively quick time, that will speak volumes.
