Opened my beloved laptop after a week of sickness.

Spent the evening taking a backup from initramfs. Then installing Ubuntu 17.10

Now, I love me some penguin but that shit gets too crazy too often.

Not that I didn't enjoy spending the day setting up the system, there is some stability I always miss from a Win/Mac environment

Anything new in 17.10? I'm still on 16.04.

@px06 yeah, a plenty. On the 16.04 LTS you would have Unity out of the box, that have gone away with that. Instead, you have Gnome 3. It's a little fine tuned to be more Ubuntu. By that I mean, it's more Orangy in places. Also, it's not LTS, if that's something you look for, maybe wait. Then, I got to know about Gnome Extensions, some of which are pretty neat. There is night mode which I appreciate but don't know if it is a new feature. That's all I could think of right now.
