Spent a when afternoon trying to solve a unworking font-face implementation to IE. The implementation was bullet-proof. Guess what, it works on IE11 but the company only uses IE8.. Good thing it's not my job to say which version to use 😄

It's funny how many companies still use that. I would not even allow it.

@CWins me and my senior both agree that chrome is better in every aspect. The only plausible idea for keeping IE it is because it has been used since the beginning of the company but even this reason is plain stupid.

Legacy apps may be a reason, i know a company with an intranet site that required old ie, but using shitty old ie in intranet is one thing, but allowing users to use that thing in the web is careless. I would enforce a modern browser with script+addblocker via policy.

@CWins the network got even slower and unfunctional after the security improvements after the wannacry situation cuz of the reinforced vpn..

I once had a client who insisted that the custom font must even work when you disable custom fonts in IE. They insisted that turning off custom fonts in IE was the standard setting, so we hat to fix that
