I also like typescript, and having coded in over a dozen programming languages (among that C, pascal, cobol and C#) over the last 40 years I also do not consider my self a script kiddie :)

Typescript is just a type safe alternative to normal js and in my experience its embraced by people that previously been more backend focused and used to strict typing.

Its even less for script kiddies than normal js since not only do you need a bit more about types, you also need to compile it so a real script kiddy would most likely avoid it as much as possible.

Well it is called Type*Script* so ofc they are script kiddies. Except for the ones that can also use a proper language like C or Pascal. Those are the real MVPs
