Seeing posts about standards vs implementation of compilers. People not getting that "standards release" != "vendor release" for C++ compilers.

I don't think I've seen any c++20/23 out in the wild, although the three major compiler vendors sort of kinda support most of it lol

It's just like PCIe and CXL. The standard is already up to PCIe 6 and CXL 3, but hardly anyone can even use PCIe 5 and CXL device availability beyond 1.1 is a myth. It's like the standards people are just writing novels.
