Let a clean uninstall script be a thing for all packages if you build from source and install.

    Or just build the executable in the local build directory and let the user decide what to do with it: executing it somewhere in home, putting it under opt or whatever.

    @Fast-Nop Just executables are fine. It’s actually annoying where non-binary files are involved like include files in case of a dev library. Some even add symlinks good god. I could fiddle with manually passing the include directory and everything but I want to avoid that.
    Currently I just manage some of the installs myself to keep my setup clean.

    Or just use packaged apps (without touching registry, other directories and mess up with system settings)
