The god damned education system in my country is completely fucked up. They teach TurboC++ in the name of programming, something that is no use in this world. This 80s ide is no use but it's compulsory to use turbo. Microsoft has fuckin removed support for 16 bit but they the syllabus won't change. I sent the concerned authorities an email about this but radio silence. This is too damn irritating.

I've been there in my college days, at least you know what you're dealing with. I had no fucking clue what I was doing.

@Aitkotw I tell you I spent a lot of time teaching myself this shit. Going through header files and stuff. But when I realized that all this is no use after 2 years of this shit, man it hit me harder than a train

I used TurboC in school, no ++, but that was when it was at least still relevant.

Today they should use a more modern language or at least version.

I mean, most students will not get to work with c++ after school any way.

@Voxera Exactly my point. And if it is about turbo being free then there are loads of ide's out there that are free. Infact finding turbo install files is difficult now.

It doesn't really matter what language is used to teach programming. Here, have a koan: http://catb.org/esr/writings/...

I'm thankful that my university doesn't do this, we used a simple text editor to learn and the c++11 standard
