First it won't let me have two of the same characters consectively, which fine, technically makes a more secure password.

But then blocks more than 12 characters?

Fu.

    Why would blocking same characters in a row make your password more secure? (Asking seriously. Don't know that)

    I'd say for example:

    When you've got 32 possible chars with a PW length of let's say 16 you have 32^16 (about 1.2*10^24)different combinations. But with blocking same chars in a row that'd be only 32*31^15 (7.50*10^23) combinations.

    But blocking more than 12 chars: wtf!😂

    I hate any kind of enforcement on password style, it only makes it easier to brute force

    @b3b3 you’re right. It reduces the number of possibilities. A similar design flaw in the enigma machine cost Germany WW2.
