New interview for senior devops

Next Technical interview is 1.5h technical interview

And interview after that is another technical interview where i am given a "small" task to complete in just 3 days.

Small task. 3 days.

Look

You corporate people disgust me.

You corporate people only want to find intelligent skilled engineers like me to get u ur work for ur clients done for free so u get to reject me for bs reason and sell ur product for 1.2 million dollars a month.

Fuck off.

I told her how i was taken advantage of by building that coffee shop backend project for 10 days for free just to finish it, get rejected and they kept the entire codebase to their company ownership and not mine ownership.

FUCK

OFF

I AM , ***NOT*** FUCKING DOING UR VFUCKING JOB FOR FUCKING FREE JUST TO NOT EVEN KNOW IF IM GONNA GET HIRED. WASTE SOMEONE ELSES TIME. EVEN FOR THIS "UP TO $6500 GROSS" SALARY U OFFER I DONT GIVE AFUCKING SHIT. FUCK OFF. GET FUCKED. YOU SHOULD OFFER ME 65,000$ A MONTH FOR ME TO FIRST GIVE A SHIT. WASTE SOMEONE ELSES TIME U FUCKS

I would happily offer to do that as a paid contractor gig. If they wouldn't value my (this significant amount of) work during the interviewing process, I wouldn't want to work for them anyway.

When you hire a contractor, you can only refuse to pay them if the work was not delivered in the quality that was agreed upon beforehand, so why not apply the same rules to these homeworks?

Refusing take homes is a rule to me

Curious, are you applying for senior positions? Don't you have 6 months experience by now? I thought senior would take a few years at least.

@Demolishun they contact Me. Recruiters find me First and offer me these jobs. Im not looking for a job since i have one. They say these outrageous salaries and then never hire. They only seek senior devops engineers which seems to fall into my profile

@Demolishun i lie saying i have 4-5 years of experience. Usually they're hiring a senior devops engineer with at least 5+ years. Im not looking for a fucking senior position but that seems to be the only available position in todays economy!

@b2plane shit, that is uber frustrating.

Think of the code thing this way. If it was good enough to steal, and it solves a problem. Then maybe later they might seek you out to hire or contract. Think of it like shareware or sampling a drug. You get them addicted and then later they gotta pay!

Edit: Heck, put that in the comments. "This is my crack sample for your enjoyment. If you like it then hit me up about future transactions. Sincerely, Your Coding Pharmacist"

I’m ok with take home tasks as long as they agree with only seeing it through screen share. I’m not giving you actually useful code for free.

Good for you. As Sandra Bernhard said, "Don't let anybody fuck you over. Fuck them over first. FUCK THEM UP!"
