My prepaid travelcard company sends me an email whenever I buy coffee for 50 cents. Decides to ignore when I make a €2500 withdrawal.

@Alice "Wait, he just wanna buy a beer with PayPal? That's suspicious, block his transaction!"

@BennySama "Ah, he's buying a car. It's prolly just him in a spending mood".

They get cut out of those 50 cents, but when you withdraw from your account they might get nothing (depends on fees in your bank) and on top of it they now have smaller deposit to work with.

In my bank I don't have to pay monthly upkeep fee for my card if I pay with it for certain amount within said month. They obviously prefer you to pay with card, not cash.

@arraysstartat1 Nope in fact it's the other way round. They get 2€ for every withdrawal I make. And in any case, it's a security issue and they should keep the notification up regardless coz now I'm expecting them to notify me when a transaction happens. That's like luring me into a false sense of security.
