Sent another developer instructions for generating an SSH key pair and to send me the public key. He did so. There was a problem getting it to work. So, naturally, he emailed me the private key.

Oh, I had kind of that situation once when I left a company. Where 3 devs, me and two juniors. After I quit, they had some troubles with a server and asked me for help. I said no problem (as I was pretty sure to know what caused it and explained it to them...)

They weren't able to fix it, so I said, well give me ssh access, here's my public key. The reply I got was the privatekey of the other guy, to my private gmail as he wasn't sble to "set it up". *facepalm*
