Winter break is next week and I don't know what to do...

I have an exciting programming project I want to work on!

Buuuut, I also have this 1,500 page book I want to read!

Buuuuuuut, my manuscript still needs some work! I want to work on it as well.

If I do all three, I won't get to finish anything, so only one task during break.

Three of my favorite things... Why must choices be so difficult?

Also, the picture is the 1K page book I bought. :) It's beautiful!

    @illusion466 I can see that with a nice hot chocolate or coffee and a warm hoodie and sweats on! Maybe even cookies ! 😱 lol

    What's the book about? :)
  • 6
    If it's a good book i eat that in two days.

    Is the book by any chance Stephen king's IT?

    @freeme
    A killer clown trying to kill a group of children called "the looser's club."

    @404response
    Yeah, it's "It" :)

    @illusion466
    Ah, the book it is. Thanks! :)

    @Michelle haha I knew it :D

    I am reading it as well atm

    @404response
    Ah, are you also a Stephen King fan?
  • 2
    @Michelle yeah Stephen king and horror movie fan although IT is the first book of him that I read. I have seen the movies gerald's game and 1922.
  • 2
    @404response how could you tell?
  • 3
    @khalildh magic

    Haha, no actually I just made an educated guess. "It" is the only book I know having this A5 format and that many pages

    @404response interesting.

    @404response
    I love Stephen King and all things horror! I've read all his books and I've seen almost every single horror movie!

    I've watched all of King's movies except for Gerald's Game, since it's too sexual for me and I'm too sensitive to those types of things.

    My favorites were Children of the Corn and The Shining :D

    @Michelle ah, I have seen the shining too.

    I think that the one very gross scene in the shining is worse than gerald's game but yeah I can understand you.

    Have you seen the movie 'sinister'? (it is not from Stephen king)

    @404response
    I know what you are talking about. I had to skip over it like a wimp, but oh well.

    Yes, I've watched it! :)
  • 1
    @Michelle I wouldn't call you a wimp. The scene was really gross and didn't really add anything to the story.

    I am sure you haven't seen all 8 saw parts, or have you? :P

    @404response
    It was explained in the book. The owner does whatever the guy in the suit wanted, as long as he dressed up as a dog. But yeah that was disgusting...

    Yeah, I did. Blood and gore won't really scare me away. :)
  • 1
    @Michelle ah ok, I should read the books.
    I have the first 7 parts on DVD but I have only watched part 1 and 2 yet.

    About your decision problem: I would do all three things. Code for some time and then get comfy to read the book and relax.
    (some hot chocolate as well maybe)
    In the best case scenario reading the book gives you motivation to finish your own manuscript :)

    @404response
    I finished my manuscript last year, I meant I'm still editing and revising. (I'm on my 23rd round of editing.)

    I can't do all three because I want to finish one thing before break ends. I would finish editing revsing my manuscript since it's important but editing is no fun!

    Reading is fun... But coding is also fun... But my manuscript will never get published if it isn't finished D:

    Choices...

    I'll choose the book then :)

    @Michelle holy crap 23 rounds

    Have fun reading! :)
  • 1
    @404response
    There's going to be 35 rounds in all. Thanks :)
  • 1
    @Michelle I saw the movie

    @Nanos
    I guess so, I just want to complete something and doing all three probably won't help me finish at least one task. :/

    @Nanos
    But these things aren't long lasting projects haha.
    I can finish reading the book in a week, I can finish my 35th round of editing next month and I already finished my website.
    I think I'm well covered in completing them. :)

    I don't think there's a difference based on gender or age. I think it varies from person to person.
