Teaching my little sister Mathematics (Grade/Class 12. Not at all easy).

And I can really understand the textbook definitions in the chapters. Back then, I never understood a single line of it.

Am I a more sound mathematician now or reading poor documentations has improved my skill to read complex and minimal contents!

    same experience😊
was able to explain my sister about integrals.
then she had 2 functions and told me "now i need to subtract one function from the other to get x"
i looked (into the book) at what she was doing and said "isn't that just putting the 2 functions as an equation?"
she answered "don't ask me, i don't know! that's just what the book is telling me so i will just follow that. don't teach me any complex things i don't know about!"
... i tried my idea and it was literally the same (subtraction) algo as hers, just an other form of writing it😌

I vote for poor documentations to be the reason.

@cb219 ya. Maths equations in different forms cause confusion a lot, even while forming it to the simplest form.
