HAlex27757yThat's just stupid, a lot of new services just use these new TLDs... (See Alphabet, https://abc.xyz, and many others)
-
@Linux why not? I mean, .xyz is dirt cheap so spammers buy them in bulk... like CheapMedications.xyz, DoctorOnline.xyz and so on (only made up these names but you understand).

Linux434837y@sebastian
Spammers also use domain that have no SPF, DKIM and DMARC.
Blocking the new gTLD's is just stupid. -
@FrodoSwaggins agreed. But country TLDs (ccTLD) are bad to ban, most local TLDs (.se, .eu , .nu etc) requires local verifiable presence so harder for spammers to get.
before .eu was open for everyone, but now only for EU citizens, so eu is (no longer) a spam source.
however, these new gTLDs are internet cancer... Or high-capacity spam pumps. -
Froot75397y@FrodoSwaggins I would argue with the "anyone who takes themselves seriously" point. I know a very decent startup that uses .xyz, pretty sure they take themselves very seriously 😄

Is it only I that hate these crappy .gTLD's that ICANN opened up for.... .date .club .store .xyz .pro .download , already lost count on how many of these TLDs I have banned in my exim4 due to a 100% spam rate...
like a long banlist of *.date, *.xyz, *.store and so on...
