coderme6497y@px06 Right, that's my typical use case. I find that even when stored in LastPass, it gets forgotten and I always spend extra time resetting it. That's when I started storing it in my.cnf.

@px06 Same here. But still the password will not be "password", rather a bit more complicated.
Setting up mysql_server and then forgetting the mysql root password 😀
