Is it too much to ask for a job where my boss is not an asshole?

in any sufficiently complex organisational structure, "being an asshole" becomes a necessity for "being the boss".

because if you're not an asshole, the chance grows that some asshole comes around and kicks you out of your boss-seat.

good bosses can only exist in very small structures.
