The getting started of react native sucks big time.

If you don't want to display a completely centered text then go fuck yourself or what?

I mean there isn't even a howto on platform-independently not overlapping the fucking status bar. Everyone must've faced this problem when starting, but the only answer is an 8 times upvoted answer on SO telling me to add a hardcoded padding. What.

Where did this whole thing come to..🙁
Back in the days books about c didn't even start with more than 4 lines of code on the 70th page.

And when you google things about it it feels like you doing something totally wrong but its like the first thing a normal dude would do, what if i don't want shit centered bro i feel so useless and dumb i friggin hate that shit just fucking tell me what the fucking fuck to do!😫

It bugs me so hard cus i didn't even know a View is able to stick out on top of the app it doesn't make no sense to me the whole world is breaking apart

    To all js-haters: pls don't hate js for being raped like this we can't do anything about it. You know it was a working thing for some time. Used for non-flash funsies on websites but somewhere shit went downhill big time.

    Of course i'm to blame to use it but ffs don't put it out there being all like bro this shit is so gud if it sucks and chokes and pukes that hard..

    You have to enable hot reloading in your phone before you can see updates.

    And it uses flexbox. So whether you want to center text or not depends on what you have written in your styles.

    @tahnik dude no offence but are you serious rn?^^

    Hot reloading is on. But the watchdog needs to bundle before hot reloading is able to reload anything am i right?

    What do you think where i removed the centering to see how it's glued to the top default-wise?

    I know react, use styled components and have experience with the newschool whiz and ghiz but react native doesn't really mirror the actual beauty these new things could have..

    Oh and my component is expected to be some string but it's undefined. Tip: did you export the component?

    Of course i bake the apple pie with all the iron ingots you ordered at walmart tomorrow.

    you said you saved and it bundles so I thought the problem was that hot reloading is not turned on.

    @tahnik you overread the part where it did nothing 2 times..^^
    It wasn't bundeling at all. But when saved multiple times it was like "oh shit there's work" and it started all the sudden.^^

    You got the centering-thing completely wrong.🙈
    The example is neatly centered. But the most basic thing on earth - starting top left - isn't even thought about.^^

    @tahnik btw i appreciate big time that you actually just want to help but the ship is sunken and recovered already.

    I was just one hella frustrated cus it was such an unnecessary way to getting shit how i want it. By no means i say i did everything right but well.. it's devrant. I rant the shit how i want.x)
