balte22947ythere are plenty of software developers that have a degree in electrical engineering! but definitely try to do a minor or something.

koin5857yMy sister is a electrical engineer and I am computer science. She did more coding and cool projects including IoT, sensoring and robotics. Im doing math and write papers about shit no one cares about... Coding in computer science is a very small part and they often expect you to learn it in your free time besides your studies

What @koin said.
Don't get me wrong, I learnt some amazing when I was getting my comp sci degree. But the coding portion was for the most part entirely up to me. It felt more of a math and computer theory degree than an actual softwatr based degree. -
Wack61957yCompSci student here: do what you feel like. CompSci is a lot of math, a hellot of theoretical stuff.
Electrical Enginering, you'll get to work with hardware.
So kind off just pick what makes you more happy! -
I studied electrical engineering for two years, until I realised that programming was my thing and switched to CS.
If you really think that is what you want you should go for it.

Should I switch from Electrical Engineering to Comp Sci?
I am about to start my second semester at college. I took programming 101 and realized I might like coding more than engineering. All the classes I have taken are inside the Comp Sci. Courses in my university so I would not be losing time if I switch now.
Also I started messing around with Android Studio with some friends and that made me realize how easy comparison it is to make a good portfolio and have sideprojects.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
