I feel bad for my ex-colleague. He left the company for multiple reasons and is now employed for 2-3 months somewhere else as a freelancer.

That company just announced they'll outsource all their freelancers to India. Now he has to job search again :(

Meh, in those two months he prolly made two times your income as being a freelancer. Also, by dutch law, a freelancer need to have three customers a year anyway. Else it's like hiring someone. Still, I see many freelancers sitting longer than a year. Maybe nobody checks that
