My girlfriend watches Greys Anatomy. They had some weird hacking scene involving bitcoin, and it thoroughly pissed me off.

You know I wish for once someone would do some realistic computer shit on tv. Hacking a 4 digit password(lol) in nested for loops was the only “at-least-we-tried” level of computer anything I’ve ever seen on a TV screen.

Super impressed, found a YouTube video with highlights I guess.

I like the clip where a guy tells her to move over a bit and sits down next to her. Then they both start frantically mashing the same keyboard as if they're working/hacking twice as fast. All the while somebody there had made a really responsive GUI telling them exactly how far the hackers have come in their efforts to breach their firewalls.
