I really want to see the source code for pokemon go even though I'm 100% certain I'll be unable to understand it I just want to look at it and try to learn how it works

But I'll probably never see the source in my life :(

I my opinion:
1. locate users on google map
2. render the map poorly
3. if another person is in vicinity, replace that user as pokemon (random)
4. when user click on the pokemon check camera preferences
done

5. get all the user's personal data you can. but you have to catch em all.

search for it, you can find the code on within, there are many people who reverse engineered it.

There is a github repo. The didn't use proguard (a obduscator program written in Java) so you can read the code with the real names. Nothing special going in there. Build using unity. The only thing that got me interested was the Bluetooth protocol used to communicate with the handheldt. As far as I can tell it shouldn't be hard to fake one using an pi (mini for example).
